Be ready, everyone. Come on, jokes. Elon Musk has revealed that "Grok," an AI chatbot, is now available to some X users. The billionaire claims that Grok shares his sardonic sense of humor.

After acquiring X, then known as Twitter, a year ago, Musk made an announcement late on Saturday stating that Grok is receiving training through "real-time access" to data from the platform.

The bot was created by Musk's AI business, xAI, which claimed in a blog post that it was influenced by British author Douglas Adams' humorous science fiction book The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

Grok is meant to compete with ChatGPT, an AI chatbot that its creator OpenAI made widely available to the public last November to considerable excitement. Musk is among OpenAI's co-founders.
